Who We Are

Dignity/Long Island, a chapter member of Dignity USA established in 1978, is a non-profit organizaion whose goals are:

• encourage gay men, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender (GLBT) persons and their friends to express their sexuality in a manner consistent with Christ's teachings 
• help people become more active members of the Roman Catholic Church and society 
• work through education and legal reforms for justice and the social acceptance of gay men, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgender persons
